Job Responsibilities
- Prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner following the daily menu.
- Prepare desserts for lunch and dinner.
- Ensure all dishes are completed and set up on the steam table five minutes prior to service.
- Follow recipe cards.
- Conduct daily cleaning and sign off on the daily cleaning task, once completed.
- Minimize food waste, by reutilizing ingredients in additional dishes.
- All food must be garnished.
- Sweep & mop dish room floor.
- Take out trash to dumpster as needed.

Job Requirements
- Schedule: This position is for a full time or part time cook who will work a rotating schedule. The schedule will vary based on your availability and our staffing needs. Shifts are 10 hours: 6:30 am–12:30 pm and 2 pm–6:00 pm. Meals are served 3 times a day, 7 days per week.
- Compensation: Hourly. Uniforms and meals are included. Full time and half time new hires are eligible for generous benefits packages on first day of hire, including health, dental & vision insurances, paid time off and 403B retirement.
- Minimum Age Requirement: 21 years’ old
- Vaccination Requirement: Must have or be willing to obtain at employer's cost a full series Hepatitis A vaccination as required by the St. Louis County Health Department
Skills And Attitudes Needed For Success
- Food Handler Certification a plus
- Prior cooking experience, preferably in a commercial setting
- Knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Ability to follow recipes and work independently
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Availability to work weekends
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to be gentle and compassionate in communicating with retired priests
- Provide excellent customer service, especially during mealtimes
- Work well with executive chef, kitchen team, administrator, and other team members at Regina Cleri Community
