Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes.
• Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and equipment.
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items.
• Safely use a variety of utensils, including knives.
• Operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers.
• Bake, roast, broil, steam, and use various cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods.
• Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to established guidelines.
• Properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Maintain excellent customer service and a positive demeanor toward guests, customers, clients, and co-workers.
• Adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures, including accurate food safety and sanitation.
• Ensure security of company assets.

Job duties may change or new ones may be assigned without formal notice to meet business needs.

Requirements

• Experience as a cook or in a related role.
• Validated knowledge of basic principles of food preparation, cooking methods, and food safety regulations (e.g., handling, sanitation, and storage).
• Ability to acquire food safety certification.
• Basic math and counting skills.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

This role may have physical demands, including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking, and standing. It may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Pay

The hourly rate for this position is $19.00 to $21.00.
