As a Cook, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and cooking food items to ensure the highest quality service and experience for our residents. Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and cook food items to ensure the highest quality service and experience for residents
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment
- Ensure proper food handling and sanitation, and follow food storage procedures
- Assist with menu planning and food production as needed
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and improve culinary skills
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen setting, preferably in a medical setting
- Certificate or associate degree in culinary arts or cooking preferred
- Massachusetts food handling certificate and knowledge of geriatric diets
- Experience in using cutting tools, cookware, and bakeware
- Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods
- Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
- Capacity to work in a team environment
