Responsibilities
- Prepares, seasons, and cooks soups, meats, vegetables, and desserts, as well as other requested foods.
- Prepares meals according to prescribed menus.
- Fulfills cooking duties and follows set guidelines on cooking time and temperatures.
- Documents proper cooking time and temperature.
- Cleans and sanitizes all food preparation equipment and ensures it is in safe and operable condition.
- Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and provide quality customer service.
- Adheres to weekly menus.
- Completes delegated tasks by supervisor.
- Maintains accurate inventory of all kitchen supplies.
- Provides three meals per day to residents.
- Adheres to all policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma.
- Understanding of the Vulnerable Adults Act.
- Completion and passing of a criminal background check.
- Completion and passing of a ServSafe Certificate within 60 days of hire.
- The ability to prioritize and organize work effectively and efficiently.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing situations.
- Compassion and ethical awareness.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Recognition and response to common kitchen hazards.
Requirements

- Must remain calm with tenants/employees/ family members and visitors.
- Consistent and regular attendance is required.
Work Environment
- The work environment consists of the entire home (inside and out).
- The noise level is usually moderate to minimal, but may be elevated during brief periods.
- Potential exposure to blood borne pathogens and infectious diseases.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals.
