Essential Functions
- Aids the Sous Chef in maintaining quality and portion control of food.
- Maintains flexibility and ability to work across all kitchen areas.
- Promotes positive customer relations and handles guest complaints.
- Assists other line employees with their daily responsibilities.
- Prepares production according to established standards set by the Restaurant Chef.
- Safeguards proper labeling, storage temperature, and environment requirements.
- Fights against overproduction and over-purchasing to maintain quality inventory control.
- Maintains cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health department codes in production and storage areas.
- Promotes positive public and employee relations.
Non-Essential Job Functions
- Attends seminars when needed.
Education And /Or Experience Requirements
- A High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of experience working in a high-volume kitchen.
Additional Requirements
- Must obtain and maintain all licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Illinois Gaming Board standards.
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts and/or unusual hours.
Knowledge
- Knowledge of pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.
- Standard safety and sanitation practices for food and beverage service.
- Food, food products, food preparation, etc.
- Understanding of the Casino environment, which can be hectic, fast-paced, and crowded and noisy.
Pay Range
$15 - $20/hour
