About the Role

This role focuses on Asian and Latin American cuisine, requiring expertise in preparing dishes such as stir-fries and noodle-based meals. A strong understanding of Asian cooking techniques, including wok cooking, steaming, and braising, is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Execute daily prep and service with precision and consistency under the guidance of the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs.
- Prepare a variety of Asian dishes, including stir-fries and noodle-based dishes.
- Adhere to food safety practices and proper ingredient handling to maintain high standards of quality and cleanliness.
- Participate in line checks and ensure prep meets the Chef’s standards for Asian-inspired offerings.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all kitchen areas.
- Follow all health and safety regulations and support daily sanitation efforts.
- Assist in educating front-of-house staff on daily specials.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of previous cooking experience is preferred.
- Experience utilizing a wok or other traditional Asian cuisine equipment is preferred.
- Bilingual ability is a plus.
- Knowledge of health and sanitation standards.
- Proficient in proper cooking techniques and knife skills.
- Strong food knowledge.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 25-30 lbs.
- Capability to stand for long periods.
- Ability to navigate crowded spaces.
- Flexibility in bending and reaching.
- Adaptability to casino conditions, including bright lights and noise.
Certifications
- Able to obtain and maintain necessary licenses and/or certifications as required by local gaming regulations.
- Able to obtain and maintain Food Handlers ServSafe certifications as required by the Lake County Health Department regulations.

Pay
Salary range: $19-$30 per hour.
