AVI Foodsystems is looking for an energetic and optimistic team member to fill the role of Cook. This is an on-call position in the Charlotte, NC area. Schedule is Monday through Friday. Duties & Responsibilities Please customers by providing a pleasant dining experienceAssemble, combine, and cook ingredientsMaintain a sanitary kitchenAttend to the detail and presentation of each orderPlace and expedite ordersPrepare ingredients by following recipes; slicing, cutting, chopping, mincing, stirring, whipping, and mixing ingredientsComplete hot meal preparation by grilling, sautéing, roasting, frying, and broiling ingredients and assembling and refrigerating cold ingredientsAdhere to proper food handling, sanitation, and safety proceduresMaintain appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all food itemsStores leftovers according to established standardsContribute to daily, holiday, and theme menus in collaboration with the team Requirements 2 or more years of cooking experience to include food preparationStrong working knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and safety and sanitation practicesExceptional food presentation skillsFamiliarity with general kitchen equipment and appliancesStrong work ethic and high energy level Benefits A family culture and atmosphereCompetitive compensationHealth, dental, vision, and life insurance for full-time team members401(k) with generous company matchPaid vacations and holidaysImmense training and growth opportunities We conduct pre-employment drug testing.
