The Cook II is an experienced culinary professional responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality food in a luxury resort environment. This position works within a designated kitchen station and plays a key role in ensuring exceptional food quality, presentation, consistency, and guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, specifications, and chef direction.
- Maintain exceptional standards for food quality, taste, presentation, and consistency.
- Set up, stock, and organize workstations for efficient service.
- Collaborate with chefs and culinary team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Assist with inventory management, product rotation, labeling, and food storage procedures.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
- Monitor product quality and report any concerns to culinary leadership.
- Support and mentor junior culinary team members as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional kitchen environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years of culinary experience in a luxury hotel, resort, fine dining restaurant, or upscale kitchen.
- Culinary degree or professional culinary training preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, and food safety practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume culinary environment.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
