Key Duties
- Prepares food as assigned according to standardized recipes to provide residents with consistently accurate, tasteful, and cost-effective meals.
- Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that the food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty.
- Tastes all prepared food items for quality control.
- Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining standards of cleanliness.
- Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- ServSafe Certification preferred or will become ServSafe certified after hired.
- Ability to lift/carry a maximum of fifty pounds, push/pull a maximum of fifty pounds, stand, bend, and walk for extended periods of time.
- Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
