Responsibilities

• Serve and maintain food quantities for large numbers of people.
• Assist with general cleaning chores in the dining area and kitchen.
• Set up, break down, and maintain independent serveries.
• Provide assistance with catered functions and retail operations.
• Guide and support student employees.
• Maintain a well-groomed appearance and wear the proper issued uniform.
• Assist with stocking and dishwashing as requested.
• Participate in training and other departmental functions.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months of culinary experience preferred.
• Ability to operate and maintain production equipment.
• Basic knife skills and knowledge of cooking methods.
• Understanding of proper/safe time and temperature for food handling.
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Serve-Safe Certified or ability to become certified.

Physical Demands

• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Occasionally push and pull wheeled equipment weighing up to 150 pounds.
