Conway Medical Assistant with travel to Dillon

Requirements

• Completion of a technical/vocational training school program with either CMA, AAMA, RMA, or CCMA Medical Assistant certification -OR- Emergency Medical Technician certification
• High school diploma
• One year experience as a Medical Assistant
• BLS Healthcare Provider CPR certification
• Medical Assistant experience or the equivalent thereof in a high‑volume medical setting with the ability to read, write and interpret medical terminology
• Scheduling flexibility to work morning/afternoon/evening hours four to five days per week as needed
• Demonstrated ability and strong commitment to exceptional patient care and customer service principles
• Positive and energetic attitude which inspires other team members
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills with an ability to remain focused under pressure
• Aptitude to communicate effectively, balance multiple tasks, set priorities, and solve problems independently or in a group
• Technology proficiency is critical, including previous EMR/EHR experience and working knowledge of Microsoft software products such as Word and Outlook
• Ability to scribe/document for the physician while in the room

Responsibilities

• Assisting all doctors, nurses, coordinators, and managers in support of delivering expert medical care to patients
• Direct interaction with patients (greeting, collecting intake information, setting up exam rooms, phone calls, etc.)
• Other day‑to‑day activities include fax correspondence, point‑of‑care testing, preparing/assisting for surgical procedures
• Deliver the mission of bringing state‑of‑the‑art expertise and patient care to clientele
• Willingness to travel to the Dillon location to assist a new provider once a week (with possibility of more) and to Conway on Tuesday‑Thursday; mileage will be paid for these travel days

Schedule

Medical Assistants are full time employees (40 hours). The specific daily schedule varies depending on provider and location.
