Duties And Responsibilities
- Repair all types of Conveyor equipment that RW sells and services.
- Proficient in lacing, splicing, cutting, vulcanized, and cold bonding belts.
- Mechanical, Electric, Pneumatic and software integration problem solving.
- Perform alignment & tracking of belts.
- Update training and skills on a continuing basis.
- Train other employees as needed.
- Maintain a profitable billing level.
- Follow all Service Department procedures.
- Communicate with assigned leadership.
- Complete all service documentation in a timely, accurate fashion.
- Communicate all options to customers before proceeding with work.
- Complete jobs within quoted time limits when applicable.
- Maintain a clean and orderly (inside and outside) vehicle.
- Maintain an accurate assigned parts inventory, if applicable.
- Represent the company favorably in all situations.
- Report all accidents promptly, regardless of fault.
- Account for 100% of available time during working hours.
- Must be willing to work overtime when necessary.
- Coordinate all overtime with assigned supervisor.
- Must follow all procedures in the company’s Employee Handbook.
- Must follow safety procedures and use good judgment in regard to safety.
- Must be willing to work out of town as necessary.
- Establish a positive rapport with customers.
- Perform other specific duties and projects as assigned by the Service management.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent Organizational Time Management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft office Suite and similar software.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Maintain effective working relationships with employees, Co-workers, and Managers in other departments.
- Willing to work off-hours as specific needs dictate and willing to assume more responsibility as required.
- Must be able to maintain a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
- Must be self-motivated and able to manage time efficiently.

- Able to always exhibit professional behavior.
- Willing to follow mandates and procedures of the Service Department.
- Ability to deal with customers on a face-to-face basis.
- Maintain a sound working relationship with other technicians and fellow workers.
- Must pass all available certifications appropriate to the position.
- Maintain working knowledge of basic D.C. electricity, basic A.C. electricity, internal combustion, and diesel engines.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts.
- Frequent exposure to outside weather conditions and the risk of electrical shock.
- Frequent exposure to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold; extreme heat; and vibration.
- Frequent exposure to noise levels in the work environment that are sometimes loud.
Education/Experience
- High school diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of 3 years breakdown experience or comparable service experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Position is non-sedentary.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
- The employee will be required to go onto job sites to perform duties where construction is underway.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- The position will require employees to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold; extreme heat; and vibration.
- The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions and the risk of electrical shock.
- The employee is occasionally exposed to noise levels in the work environment that are sometimes loud.
Pay Range
- The hourly range for this position is $22.90 - $49.40.
