Conveyor Belting Technician - Journeyman/Foreman

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer locations to install, maintain and repair conveyor belts to specification
• Supervise and mentor junior technicians
• Provide exceptional service to all customers
• Operate equipment in the shop to complete work orders
• Communicate internally and externally about the status of all jobs
• Work well with others on the team
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures

Requirements

• Must have 3+ years of conveyor belting experience, with some supervisory experience
• Leadership acumen and the ability to mentor junior technicians
• Skilled with hand and power tools and have a mechanical aptitude
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Possess a professional demeanor
• Ability to build relationships and work well with others
• Must have a valid Driver’s License
• Must have basic math skills
• Able to regularly lift up to 75 pounds
• Able to work an on-call rotation for nights and weekends
• Able to travel to customer sites and work off-site
• Able to work outdoors, as needed
• Willing to join union and pay union dues
• Able to successfully complete a criminal background check and drug test
