Full-time, on-site role based at The Bethesdan Hotel.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently and professionally coordinate assigned convention or meeting groups.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Perform administrative duties relevant to account responsibilities in compliance with corporate guidelines.
- Document and organize detailed requirements of each function.
- Coordinate activities of various departments to service accounts, such as directing room service in the creation and delivery of VIP amenities.
- Communicate with sales, front office, and reservations to coordinate and monitor guest room blocks and special reservation needs.
- Assign banquet/meeting room setups based on client needs (e.g., classroom, rounds).
- Review banquet associates’ work to ensure accuracy.
- Monitor in-house group activity and provide assistance as needed, such as organizing exhibit setups.
- Establish rapport with and entertain meeting planners while promoting hotel facilities and services.
- Conduct walking site inspections throughout the property.
- Advise sales staff on the ability to accommodate client demands, including phone requirements, space fit, and materials like booths.
- Assist sales staff in promoting the hotel, developing leads, and securing rebookings.
- Plan and conduct pre- and post-convention meetings with clients and respective departments.
- Detail events to include all food & beverage, setup, and audio-visual needs; ask appropriate questions and make suggestions to meet group and hotel needs.
- Document tracking of group activity and input data into a computer system to generate account history reports.
- Communicate verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff.
- Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite at the intermediate level (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- In-depth knowledge of hotel operations or a related field.
- Ability and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Catering experience.
- In-depth knowledge of food and beverage preparation, presentation, catering service, and cost.
- General knowledge of Hilton Tapestry.
- Hilton experience (a plus but not required).

Pay
Salary ranges from $55,000 to $65,000 with potential quarterly bonuses.
