Convenience Store Manager

About the role

Country Partners Cooperative is a full-service diversified agricultural cooperative in central Nebraska, partnering with farmers and ranchers across 20 communities to accomplish more together.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates all store activities in a manner that maximizes sales, profits, and customer satisfaction.
• Supervises the interviewing, selection, hiring, and training of all associates.
• Maintains a high level of customer service by ensuring that service standards are high.
• Supervises freight process and ensures all merchandise is stocked, displays are attractive, priced correctly, and displayed in a safe manner.
• Completes daily paperwork and computer entry in a timely manner.
• Monitors cash over/short, inventory shrinkage, and drive-offs daily.
• Maintains and promotes safety awareness, follows safety policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.
• Manages payroll and controllable expenses.
• Follows and enforces all company policies and established procedures in store operations.
• Reports and processes all employee and/or customer incidents or accidents following company procedure.
• Maintains a positive attitude that promotes teamwork within the cooperative and a favorable image of the cooperative.
• Responsible for maintaining clean facilities and complying with all state and federal regulations pertaining to a safe workplace, housekeeping, and all activities that require regulation compliance.
• Presents a clean and professional appearance.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Supervises store staff.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Good judgement with the ability to make prompt and sound decisions.

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• Previous manager and supervisory experience preferred.
