About the role
Our Mission at ADS Inc. is to actively seek our customers' equipment and logistical challenges and deliver innovative and cost-effective solutions. As we focus on growing our business, our Regional Account Managers are responsible for traveling to their assigned regions, building relationships with customers, and meeting with the top manufacturers in the DoD industry.
Location & Territory: ADS Headquarters (Virginia Beach, VA) / Remote Locations Considered
Extensive travel required (50-75% or 2-3 weeks of every month). Occasional weekends, holidays, and after business hours.
Responsibilities
- Represent ADS across all territories assigned
- Research and develop business within assigned program office and related accounts
- Research and identify opportunities for business development upstream from current active accounts
- Identify program needs and objectives
- Identify initial purchases and priorities, manufacturers, product categories and technologies
- Identify preferred and/or optimal means of procurement
- Understand and articulate how contracts are fulfilled
- Serve as the lead for all large-scale solicitations
- Engage and establish long term sales and service solutions
- Market/Industry analysis
- Analyze market trends, new requirements, new program inceptions
- Keep up to date on world events
- Gather intelligence
- Create new solutions in response to market changes
Performance Standards: Your success as a Regional Account Manager will be measured by customer and supplier satisfaction, hitting assigned territory goals, team engagement, and overall sales growth.
Requirements
- 2-4 years prior military or government contracting experience
- 2+ years of experience with government programs, either in sales or development
- 2+ years experience in government contracts & procedures
- 2+ years of experience with MS Office
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Frequent travel required

Pay
The salary range represents the base compensation range for this role: $72,500 to $145,000. The actual compensation will be determined based on a candidate’s education, experience, and skills. In addition to base compensation, full-time employees in this role are eligible for commission, which is uncapped and based on performance.
