Controls Technician (Nights 2-2-3 schedule)
Nights: rotating 2-2-3 schedule, 6pm–6:30am.

As a PLC Technician, you will help transform our Bakery—one of the fastest growing and most loved brands in our category. Responsibilities
- Provide input to manage controls and automation systems testing, quality control, data retrieval, and training for packaging and processing equipment.
- Assist in managing the controls and automation interface, testing, quality control, data retrieval, and training for all packaging and processing equipment.
- Assist with the development and modification of PLC & HMI programs.
- Provide project engineering support to process areas.
- Provide controls support for the manufacturing facility and assist plant mechanics in troubleshooting.
- Ensure documentation for control/electrical systems and document change control procedures.
- Assist with the development and management of controls-related capital projects.
- Contribute to the determination and maintainability of new process control systems and manage process controls change control procedures for existing equipment.
- Work around moving machines—mixers, conveyor belts, and forklifts.
Requirements
- Understanding of automated industrial machinery, including motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Experience with packaging, conveyance, liquid and powder manufacturing equipment and processes.
- PLC troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Experience installing and troubleshooting basic three-phase motor control circuits and performing breakdown analysis.
Skills
- Troubleshoot and maintain Allen-Bradley MicroLogix and ControlLogix hardware.
- Perform Allen-Bradley PLC programming using RSLogix5, RSLogix500, and RSLogix5000 software or equivalent.
- Implement and troubleshoot industrial communication networks including Ethernet, Allen-Bradley Remote I/O, and DeviceNet.
- Read electrical schematics, Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs).
- Perform PID loop tuning and implement instrument calibration procedures.
- Knowledge of programming languages relevant to PLCs.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical control systems, including PLC controls, networking, and HMI systems.
- Initiate and develop control system modifications and new projects to improve plant performance and reliability.
- General knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
- Knowledge of wiring, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
