About the Role
Supports automated equipment in a fully automated Distribution Center, focusing on design, operation, repair, and diagnosis of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) control systems.
Responsibilities
- Implement preventative maintenance plans and troubleshoot MHE and automated picking systems.
- Oversee system modifications, upgrades, and assess equipment efficiency.
- Maintain CMMS/EAM records and manage spare parts inventory.
- Design, assemble, program, and diagnose control systems for small to medium automated MHE systems, including PLCs, remote I/O, sensors, drives, and servos.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and network communication issues, with knowledge of electrical schematics, PLC ladder logic, and network protocols.
- Operate and maintain facility systems such as chillers, pumps, and HVAC.
- Apply strong technical, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or Facilities Management preferred, with 4+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong electrical, mechanical, and electronic system knowledge, including diagnostic skills at the component level.
- Proficiency with CAD, electrical diagrams, PLC programming, and control system design.
- Experience with MHE software and network troubleshooting.
- Ability to read technical drawings, design control systems, and manage projects.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
