Controls Technician III

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain PLC, HMI and SCADA systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on control equipment.
  • Calibrate and maintain field instruments (pressure, flow, temperature, level).
  • Analyze systems faults and implement corrective actions.
  • Support continuous improvement and automation projects.
  • Read and Interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs, and control schematics.
  • Work with maintenance and operations team to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations (e.g. OSHA).

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering Technology, Automation, or related field (nice to have).
  • 5+ years of experience working with industrial control systems (required).
  • Strong Knowledge Of The Following PLCs (Allen-Bradley) (required).
  • Manager will look at candidates with additional work experience in lieu of degree (optional).
  • Experience in manufacturing environments (food & beverage, dairy, or processing plants) (preferred).
  • Strong experience with SCADA platform (development, troubleshooting, and upgrades) (preferred).
  • Understanding of process control loops and PID tuning (preferred).
  • Ability to work with CMMS systems (preferred).
