Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Controls Technician to install, maintain and repair manufacturing equipment and control systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of and experience with industrial automation and electrical control systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Setup, testing, and commissioning controls hardware and systems.
- Assemble and wire industrial control panels and components.
- Install, troubleshoot and replace sensors, transmitters, control valves, VFDs, and other devices.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair malfunctions and breakdowns in existing control systems.
Skills & Qualifications
- Working knowledge of control theory, AC/DC drives and electro-mechanical systems.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing plant mechanical systems and operations. (steam, pneumatics, refrigeration, hydraulics, production processes, etc.)
- Advanced troubleshooting skills to diagnose electrical systems. (24VDC to 480VAC)
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Associates degree in electronic controls or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in an equivalent role within a manufacturing environment.
