Responsible for
- Installs, replaces, and repairs electronic building automation controllers and associated devices.
- Interpret building and machinery documentation to troubleshoot and make repairs.
- Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and programming problems.
- Use vendor-specific software tools to troubleshoot and diagnose system problems and perform preventative maintenance tasks.
- Read and interpret drawings and sequence of operations.
- Inspects, tests, troubleshoots a variety of electric and electronic equipment including such hardware as sensors, control panels, input/output panels, flow meters, and relay panels as related to utility and building HVAC control systems.
- Assists other shops with troubleshooting and repair of concerns related to HVAC, electrical, and control systems.
- Handles emergency calls as directed during the day and after hours.
- Maintains an organized work area, which includes cleanliness, safety, and security of materials.
- Maintains the required tools and equipment needed for maintenance activity to aid in timely diagnoses of system or component problems.
- Receives, completes, and creates work orders.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with building automation systems and control systems.
- Knowledge of HVAC and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
