Controls Technician
About the role
ProMach's Brenton is currently seeking a Controls Technician to commission, test and debug packaging/palletizing/stretch wrapping equipment. Provide electrical and controls support to Mechanical leads, Service Department and Brenton customers. Troubleshoot PLC, Robotic and HMI programs for new and retrofit projects. Work with electrical designers on updates electrical schematics. Commission, test and debug robotic systems at Brenton facility. Ensure Brenton electrical standards are followed in controls designs. Provide technical support for customers both in the field and telephone troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot PLC, Robotic and HMI programs for new and retrofit projects.
- Work with electrical designers on updates electrical schematics.
- Commission, test and debug robotic systems at Brenton facility.
- Ensure Brenton electrical standards are followed in controls designs.
- Provide technical support for customers both in the field and telephone troubleshooting.
Requirements
- Knowledge of components including Allen Bradley PLCs, Fanuc robots, misc I/O devices, VFDs, servos, HMIs, pneumatics, safety circuits, vision and various industrial networks.
- Experience in Allen Bradley programming software RsLogix500, RsLogix5000 and FactoryTalk Studio ME.
- Ability to understand electrical schematics and read 2D & 3D AutoCad mechanical drawings.
- Ability to clearly communicate verbally and in written form.
- Ability to work independently and well with others.
- Ability to work in Microsoft’s Office products (Word & Excel).

Pay
Base Hourly Range: $35.00 - $55.00 per hour
Schedule
Domestic and International travel for machine installation support as required (up to 35% at times)
