Controls Technician 2 -Afternoon Shift

Job Duties

  • Works with Controls team in the automation, programming, and repair of mechanical equipment.
  • Basic troubleshooting of Pneumatic, Hydraulic, AC/DC electrical systems, Robots, PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, Servos, Ethernet/Communication systems, and ladder logic.
  • Aid in installing and setting up field devices such as lasers, proximity switches, pressure switches, directional control valves, AC/DC motors, etc.
  • Aid in panel building and wiring, routing and tying cables, drilling/tapping holes, and building junction boxes.
  • Robot trouble shooting and maintenance.
  • Upload, download, and get online with PLCs.
  • Fanuc Robot program troubleshooting/touch-ups.
  • Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately.
  • Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience and Education

  • Applicable education and 0-2 years’ experience with Controls and Mechanical engineering.

Competencies/ Skills

  • Computer skills, familiar with Microsoft office and related programs.
  • Understanding of Pneumatic, Hydraulic, and AC/DC electrical systems and how to troubleshoot them.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprint/schematic drawings and ladder logic.
  • Good writing and communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn.
