Controls Systems Technician

Johnson Controls, a global leader in thermal management, mission-critical building systems, energy efficiency, and decarbonization, seeks a skilled HVAC technician to join their team. This role involves performing system commissioning, troubleshooting, and providing high-quality service to enhance building efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Performs assigned system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools.
- Troubleshoots and resolves basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems.
- Responds to basic warranty calls.
- Provides solutions to building inefficiencies and resolves service-related items.
- Communicates with JCI contractors or customers upon arrival and before leaving the work site.
- Follows safety standards and attends required safety training.
- Supports mechanics in servicing non-complex, non-critical Building Automation equipment.
- Programs HVAC related software and provides quotes for recommendations and solutions.
Requirements
- Vocational School four-year program or an Associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field.
- Three years of industry experience or one year experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems in the HVAC industry.
- General knowledge of HVAC controls systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques.
- Effective interpersonal skills to represent Johnson Controls ethically and professionally.
- Ability to explain technical information to both technical and non-technical people.
- Leadership skills to support mechanics on non-complex, non-critical Building Automation equipment.
- PC experience and the ability to program HVAC related software.
