About the role
Field-based: Work is conducted on-site at customer locations.
Responsibilities
- Commission, program, set up graphics, communications link, end-to-end testing, troubleshoot and service on assigned projects.
- Document point-to-point verification, sequence of operations validation, and job close-out requirements.
- Serve as the direct customer contact, ensuring customer satisfaction by identifying, diagnosing, and repairing equipment and systems at customer’s location.
- Coordinate with team leader and customer to understand requirements for on-site installation and repairs by forecasting issues, gathering materials, and synchronizing on-site work.
- Stay current on Trane products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair of direct digital control systems.
- Enforce safety standards and maintain security and accountability of company-issued and procured assets.
- Maintain flexibility to work overtime and weekends as required, including occasional overnight stays.
- Perform tasks such as pulling wire and running conduit on assigned projects.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or equivalent; typically 3-5 years of experience in HVAC/Controls. Technical School or formal training is preferred.
- Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and proficiency with handheld devices (e.g., Smartphone, iPad).
- A valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations (e.g., DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving, or multiple smaller infractions/preventable collisions in the previous 3 years).
- Previous experience with DDC controls systems is preferred.
- 1+ years of experience with electrical and/or commercial HVAC controls / building automation systems.
Pay
Hourly Base Pay Range: $23.86 - $45.21
