About the role

Our engineers help design, test, program, and commission exciting projects in the world of Material Handling. If you have experience with PLCs, HMI, SCADA, or other controls systems, this role involves conducting full-scope controls projects, including programming with PLC/HMI or other technologies, developing processes, solving problems, and delivering projects that meet or exceed customer expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct full-scope controls projects involving programming with PLC/HMI or other technologies.
  • Work within a team environment to meet project deliverables.
  • Learn new technologies via in-house or external training.
  • Develop processes to support team growth.
  • Solve problems for the team and customers.
  • Deliver projects that meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Develop customer relationships.
  • Contribute to project teams, providing help outside of controls scope when required.
  • Establish beneficial relationships with key supplier products and services, and provide technical assistance around issues or solutions.
  • Develop new controls techniques or equipment to maintain Toyota Automated Logistics as a leader in the industry.

Requirements

  • BS in Engineering (not master’s level).
  • 1–3+ years of experience with PLC, HMI, SCADA, panel design, hands-on and mechanical capabilities, and controls project management.
  • Experience with MS Office products.
  • AutoCAD Electrical experience preferred.
  • Material Handling Integration experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and organization skills.
  • Must be eligible to work in the USA long-term without current or future sponsorship.
  • Employees must follow all information security policies, protect confidential data, complete required training, and report any suspected security incidents.

Travel Requirements

80% required travel, typically on a rotation of 10 days on-site and 4 days at home.
