Controls Engineering Program Manager
About the role
RedCloud seeks a Controls Engineering Program Manager to support immediate client operations. This individual will manage a portfolio of projects and backlog, understanding their contribution to overall business objectives. The role involves identifying and managing risks at the portfolio level, resolving conflicts, and documenting project successes. The ideal candidate has an operational background, can see the big picture, work independently, and maintain effective communication with stakeholders such as senior management, project teams, and clients.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of projects and backlog.
- Identify and manage portfolio-level risks, including recognizing potential dependencies and conflicts between projects and mitigating such issues.
- Document the successes and achievements of each project as they happen.
- Communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders, including senior management, project teams, and clients.
- Manage expectations and ensure stakeholder alignment across the portfolio of projects.
- Establish and maintain appropriate governance structures and processes for the portfolio, including defining and implementing project management methodologies, standards, and best practices.
- Monitor the progress and performance of projects, ensuring they are on track to meet their objectives through regular review and reporting on project status, risks, and issues.
- Provide guidance and support to the team.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related matters.
Requirements
- 5+ years of program management experience overseeing a portfolio of individual projects.
- Background in operations and controls engineering or a related field.
- Experience across standard project management practices and methodologies.
- Ability to identify, assess, and manage project risks to mitigate potential impacts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills to quickly and effectively resolve project-related issues.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Legal ability to work in the United States; proof of eligibility will be requested during onboarding.
Pay
US: $145,000 - $165,000 (USD) + bonus programs + benefits.
