About the role
The role of Controls Engineering Manager involves leading a team of engineers in designing, implementing, and maintaining control systems for industrial processes. This includes overseeing project timelines, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of engineers in the design and implementation of control systems for various industrial processes.
- Oversight of project timelines and budgets, ensuring timely completion of projects.
- Ensuring all projects comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including operations, maintenance, and quality assurance to ensure seamless integration of control systems.
- Conducting regular performance evaluations of team members and providing feedback and development opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in controls engineering, with at least 5 years in management roles.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex control system projects.
- Experience with automation software and tools such as PLCs, SCADA, and HMI.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of process control theory and practical applications.
- Experience with safety systems and risk management.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
