We are seeking a Controls Engineer - Emulate 3D to model, test, and validate conveyor system performance before implementation. In this role, you will use Emulate3D and FlexSim to create accurate system models, evaluate throughput and system rates, and identify opportunities to improve overall design performance.You will work closely with our System Design and Controls Engineering teams to optimize material handling solutions and perform emulation using actual PLC programs and RS Echo. Your work will help validate control logic, reduce project risk, improve system efficiency, and deliver a stronger experience for our customers. What You’ll Do Develop detailed conveyor system models using Emulate3D and FlexSimAnalyze system rates, throughput, capacity, and overall performancePerform controls emulation using actual PLC programs and RS EchoTest and validate PLC logic in a virtual environment before field implementationPartner with System Design engineers to evaluate layouts and optimize system performanceCollaborate with Controls Engineers to identify sequencing, communication, and operational issuesApply your understanding of conveyor mechanics, electrical controls, and industrial automation to simulation modelsDocument simulation results, assumptions, findings, and recommended improvementsCommunicate technical results clearly to engineering teams and project stakeholdersHelp improve simulation and emulation standards, tools, and internal processesSupport projects by delivering accurate, timely, and customer-focused solutions Requirements What You’ll Bring: Proficiency with Emulate3D and experience modeling automated or conveyor-based systemsExperience with FlexSim or a comparable simulation platformFamiliarity with PLC programming concepts and industrial automationExperience performing controls emulation or virtual commissioningKnowledge of conveyor mechanics, electrical controls, and material handling systemsAbility to interpret system layouts, operational requirements, and control narrativesStrong analytical and troubleshooting skillsAbility to collaborate across controls, mechanical, electrical, and system design disciplinesClear written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to accuracy, quality, and project deadlines Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related fieldExperience using PLC programs and RS Echo for system validationExperience supporting conveyor, sortation, distribution, or material handling projectsUnderstanding of system throughput analysis and performance validation Summary Benefits: Competitive salaryHealth insurance401kPaid time off10 Company HolidaysProfessional development opportunities This job description describes the general nature and level of work expected of a person assigned to this position.
