Controls Engineer – Conveyor Commissioning

Primarily Virginia & Upstate New York; nationwide travel as needed. Contract position with 5+ openings.

About the role

Seeking Controls Engineers/Technicians to support commissioning, go-live, and post-go-live activities for conveyor and warehouse automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and commission Allen-Bradley PLCs using Studio 5000 v35.
• Work with FactoryTalk View HMI and PowerFlex 525 VFDs.
• Troubleshoot AOIs, faults, PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs.
• Perform high-volume testing and support go-live activities.
• Work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• 4+ years of controls/automation experience.
• Strong Allen-Bradley experience.
• Warehouse/material-handling or conveyor automation experience preferred.
• Amazon experience is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and self-starter mindset.
• Willingness to travel nationwide.
• Must have required PPE: hi-vis vest, hard hat, safety glasses, and 6" composite/steel-toe boots.

Schedule

• Primarily 1st Shift; 2nd Shift may be required.
