Controls Engineer

About the role

Program, research, upgrade, install, and maintain controls for manufacturing and facility equipment across multiple brands. Collaborate with manufacturing, maintenance, engineering, and facility teams to design, implement, and support Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and control systems. Analyze existing systems, test new technologies, and work with vendors and project teams to transfer equipment and improve machine efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues in control systems
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance procedures
• Ensure controls align with company standards and safety protocols
• Provide technical support and training to staff
• Understand and apply electrical standards and control systems

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• At least two years of experience in controls engineering
• Proficiency with electrical test equipment, schematics, AutoCAD Electrical, and PLC programming languages
• Strong communication skills and safety compliance
• Ability to travel as needed
