About the Role
A Controls Engineer is needed for a leading manufacturing organization to lead electrical design and automation upgrades for mechanical and hydraulic power stamping presses. In this role, you will oversee full-lifecycle engineering tasks ranging from initial control architecture design to on-site commissioning. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, high-quality manufacturing and mobility solutions.
Responsibilities
- Create and modify HMI, PLC, and Safety PLC programs using Studio 5000, Simatic Step 7, and GP-Pro software.
- Draft and update hardwire, panel, and field device layouts using AutoCAD Electrical and IAB software.
- Perform project risk assessments covering bid selection, hardware procurement, and installation timing.
- Direct engineers, electricians, and millwrights during system installation while resolving construction issues.
- Provide full-line electrical, mechanical, and PLC commissioning support before, during, and after system implementation.
- Validate and verify electrical control designs during customer buyoff reviews.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in controls engineering.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering/Technology or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and hands-on PLC programming (Rockwell, Siemens, Yaskawa).
- Direct experience with panel design, equipment installation, and field commissioning.
Pay
$49.50 - 56.50 per hour

8 AM to 4 PM
