Controls Engineer

Responsibilities

• Review contracts and vendor agreements for control requirements
• Validate project design documentation including electrical drawings and signal mappings
• Create batch scripts or automation tools for improved data handling
• Maintain consistent communication with all project stakeholders
• Troubleshoot network issues in secured environments
• Auxiliary customers with system modifications and support commissioning activities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Controls Engineering or related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in control systems for electrical generation
• Proficiency in industrial communication protocols like Modbus and DNP3
• Strong knowledge of networking principles including VPN and subnetting
• Experience with Inverter-Based Resources like solar or energy storage is preferred
• Familiarity with SCADA systems and related equipment is beneficial
• Willingness to travel 10-15% for site and vendor engagements
