Controls Engineer

This position is part of the R&D Engineering Division, where you will drive innovation and development of new processes and equipment through hands-on troubleshooting, PLC programming, and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and program PLC applications using Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and Omron systems.
- Design panels and schematics utilizing AutoCAD Electrical.
- Collaborate with other engineering departments, skilled trades, and project managers.
- Provide technical support for new industrial automated machinery.
- Interface with additional technical resources to procure new parts.
- Assist with the integration of machinery to the Ignition platform.
Requirements
- Associates in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Automation Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in programming and troubleshooting Allen-Bradley PLCs.
- Experience in integration work such as installing and designing new equipment.
- Knowledge of Ignition, SCADA, transformers, switchboards, ethernet networking, and machine communication.
Qualifications
- Experience with Ignition or other SCADA platforms.
- Experience with medium voltage equipment like transformers and switchgears.
- Project management experience.
Work Environment
This role is based in both office and factory settings, primarily focused on designing and planning control system projects. Standard work hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with approximately 20% travel to Franklin, IN.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $48.00/hr. Individual compensation within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, and internal equity.
