About the Role

Responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving highly automated controls, robotic, and welding systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design and program PLC, HMI, robots, and other types of electronic or electrical manufacturing equipment as needed.
  • Lead troubleshooting of malfunctioning equipment.
  • Engage in continuous improvement activities such as cycle time reduction, standardization of existing equipment, and incorporation of error-proofing strategies.
  • Install hardware and wiring.
  • Program and debug automated robotic welding, sealing, fastening, and assembly systems.
  • Program Panel View (HMI) and PLC.
  • Utilize computer-aided modeling to ensure work meets customer needs (internal and external).
  • Manage project details to ensure perfect quality in work output.
  • Work collaboratively with different team members and levels of the organization (internal and external).
  • Resolve conflict objectively by listening, staying focused on the issue, and monitoring progress.
  • Use feedback to continuously improve performance and work relationships.
  • Support plant flow by flexing within work areas and working with a sense of urgency.
  • Maintain knowledge and skills to perform all job responsibilities effectively.
  • Approach change constructively and view it as a learning opportunity.
  • Share information and knowledge, working collaboratively with others.
  • Maintain punctuality and ensure coverage when absent.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience with Rockwell software and AB CompactLogix, Guard Logix, PanelView Plus platforms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • High standards of performance for self; takes responsibility for actions, results, and mistakes.
  • Ability to rotate through all job responsibilities and maintain necessary skills.

Schedule

3rd Shift: 9 PM - 5 AM, Sunday through Thursday.

Spartanburg, SC.
