Job Information Job Title: Controls Engineer 3 Job Type: Temp/Contract Location: Buffalo, NY Pay Range: $47.61 - $54.41/hour Job Overview We are seeking a Controls Engineer 3 to support the design, development, implementation, and startup of complex automation and control systems within a manufacturing environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring production equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably through innovative controls engineering solutions. This opportunity is ideal for experienced controls professionals who enjoy working across multiple engineering disciplines, collaborating with plant teams, troubleshooting automation systems, and contributing to the successful deployment of advanced manufacturing technologies. 🌟 What’s the Job? Engineer and design pneumatic piping diagrams. Engineer and design electrical wiring diagrams. Engineer and design hydraulic piping diagrams. Design electrical control panels. Develop programmable logic controller (PLC) software. Design human machine interface (HMI) software. Perform system tryout, debugging, and startup support for control systems. Provide technical support for the installation of tools and equipment. Support training activities for plant personnel on controls systems and equipment. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and plant teams to ensure successful project execution. Travel to plant locations as required to support projects and system commissioning. What’s Needed? Bachelor's Degree in a technical field. 5-7 years of controls engineering experience. Proficiency with programmable machine controls hardware and software. Proficiency with servo drive hardware and software. Experience using AutoCAD. Familiarity with electrical standards. Familiarity with safety standards. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to provide technical leadership and supervision when required. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
