About the Role

Responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving highly automated controls, robotic, and welding systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and program PLC, HMI, robots, and other types of electronic or electrical manufacturing equipment as needed.
• Lead troubleshooting of malfunctioning equipment.
• Engage in continuous improvement activities such as cycle time reduction, standardization of existing equipment, and incorporation of error-proofing strategies.
• Install hardware and wiring.
• Program and debug automated robotic welding, sealing, fastening, and assembly systems.
• Program Panel View (HMI) and PLC.
• Utilize computer-aided modeling to ensure work meets customer needs (internal and external).
• Manage project details to ensure perfect quality in work output.
• Work collaboratively with different team members and different levels of the organization (internal and external).
• Rotate through all job responsibilities to maintain knowledge and skills to perform the job effectively.
• Support plant flow by flexing within own and/or other work areas, working with a sense of urgency to meet customer needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience with Rockwell software and AB CompactLogix, Guard Logix, PanelView plus platforms.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• High standards of performance for self; takes responsibility for actions, results, and mistakes.
• Thorough, accurate, and reliable; demonstrates honesty and integrity in all aspects of work.

Schedule

This is a 2nd shift position: 1 PM - 9 PM, Monday through Friday.

Spartanburg, SC.
