What You'll Do

As a Full Time Controls/Commissioning Engineer at Commercial Tool Group, you'll harness your technical skills to design and program innovative equipment control systems tailored to both customer and company standards. You'll manage projects meticulously, ensuring they align with strict timelines and hour budgets, while collaborating closely with design teams to uphold or surpass safety standards. Your expertise will be pivotal in minimizing rework by proactively addressing potential redesigns as projects hit the production floor. This onsite position offers the excitement of hands-on work, along with opportunities for travel to customer sites for installations and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

To excel as a Full Time Controls/Commissioning Engineer at CGAF, you will need a solid foundation in the automation industry, with 3-5+ years of relevant experience. You must have a willingness to travel as needs arise, on average 20%-30% per year. Proficiency in Allen Bradley or Siemens PLC and HMI programming is crucial, as you'll be designing and programming complex control systems. Your troubleshooting skills will be put to the test as you diagnose and resolve machine control system issues, ensuring seamless project execution. We seek a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating excellent communication abilities and a dedication to innovative problem-solving.

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • 3-5+ years of experience in the automation industry
  • Allen Bradley or Siemens PLC and HMI programming experience
  • Experience and skill in troubleshooting machine control system issues
