Controls & Automation Supervisor - Manufacturing

Marvin is seeking a Controls Systems Supervisor to lead a team supporting automated equipment in our manufacturing operations. In this role, you'll oversee the reliability, programming, and troubleshooting of PLCs, HMIs, drives, and industrial networks to keep production safe, efficient, and stable. You'll coordinate maintenance and improvement projects, develop standards, and mentor controls technicians. Collaborating with engineering, production, and safety, you'll drive continuous improvement and support new equipment installations while modeling Marvin's people-first, craftsmanship-focused culture. Responsibilities Supervise and develop controls technicians supporting manufacturing equipmentOversee programming, troubleshooting, and optimization of PLCs, HMIs, and drivesEnsure high reliability and uptime of automated systems through preventive maintenanceLead root cause analysis and corrective actions for equipment and controls issuesPlan and execute controls upgrades, integrations, and improvement projectsCollaborate with engineering, production, and safety to support new equipment and processesMaintain and update electrical and controls documentation and standardsEnsure compliance with electrical and industrial safety regulations and best practicesCoordinate response to equipment downtime and prioritize work across the teamSupport training, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within the controls group Required Skills PLC programming and troubleshootingHMI configuration and supportIndustrial networking (Ethernet/IP, Modbus)Electrical schematics reading and designMotor controls and VFDsSCADA systemsRoot cause analysisPreventive and predictive maintenanceIndustrial safety standards (OSHA, NFPA 70E, lockout/tagout)Project management for controls upgrades
