Job Summary
Ampcus Inc. is seeking a Controls Assessment and Testing Specialist to join their Risk Management Risk Office - Control Testing Team in Mclean, VA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in evaluating requirements against existing processes and controls, identifying gaps, and proposing solutions.
Responsibilities
- Perform assessment analysis of requirements and controls to existing processes
- Develop and execute testing and reporting procedures
- Understand and communicate complex processes and align with policy/regulatory requirements
- Establish and maintain good client relations during testing engagements
- Create and deliver verbal and written communications between business partners
- Assist in the planning and execution of credit policy control assessments
- Execute transaction testing for credit policy requirements and credit intent in alignment with team methodology and procedures
- Manage to testing schedules to ensure all tasks and reporting are completed within established timeframes
- Obtain and analyze test data from multiple sources, following testing protocols and leveraging job aids as needed
- Systematically retain documents that substantiate test results
- Submit test results in the system of record
- Assist in communicating results to business areas and Credit Risk Management leadership as needed
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent Certification
- At least 2 years of experience in controls testing (design and operating effectiveness)
- At least 2 years of experience in testing SQL and Python and reading code
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or military experience
- Ability to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders
- Deep understanding of risks and ability to communicate and evaluate the appropriateness of mitigating activities
- Experience auditing internal controls
