Controls and Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Program Rockwell PLCs
• Program HMI systems primarily in Ignition Assist
• Troubleshoot electromechanical systems
• Contribute to design documentation, plans, and technical drawings
• Provide on-site support for commissioning, training, and startup

Requirements

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited university – OR – equivalent work experience
• Able to read and understand panel designs, electrical schematics, and system layouts in AutoCAD 2D
• Effective communication (verbal and written)
• The desire to build strong relationships with engineering groups, customers, suppliers, and subcontractors
• Detail oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines while working with project management and other engineering groups

Qualifications

• 5+ years of controls or automation experience, preferably with Rockwell platforms
• Industry experience with material handling equipment or systems
• Experience in the use of CODESYS
• Experience with networking, PC controls, and operator displays
• Mechanical design experience in Autodesk Inventor or similar design software
