Job Duties
Perform regular review and analysis of the components of regulatory capital for the Firm.
Agregation of key inputs into regulatory capital with associated variance review and substantiation of components.
Understand key drivers (i.e., changes in credit spreads and impact on capital neutralizing deductions) and communicating these points to stakeholders.
Present complex data (verbally presented in meetings, via email memos, or visual presentations such as PowerPoint).
Cooordinat[e] across teams (engineering, revenue generating teams, and controllers) to actively work toward identifying weaknesses and limitations and build out sustainable, long-term solutions.
Develop processes that can identify and remediate control gaps in current workflows.
Develop strong awareness of regulatory rules regarding capital and risk-based reporting metrics and create training materials and resources for executing on daily workflows.
Job Requirements
- Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in a related role
- Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role
- Prior experience must include one (1) year of experience (with a Master’s degree) OR three (3) years of experience (with a Bachelor’s degree) with:
- accounting standards and practices such as U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial statement analysis, and financial ratios;
- analyzing and challenging data by identifying discrepancies and troubleshooting errors;
- using Microsoft Excel including rudimentary VBA, nesting of complex formulas, and data manipulation of large quantities of data in the million+ number of records;
- accounting operations experience including execution and oversight of month-end and year-end close processes.
