With operations throughout the Intermountain West and continued growth across our markets, we are one of the largest chauffeured transportation companies in the nation.We are a fast-paced, service-driven organization looking for talented professionals who take ownership, solve problems and want the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.Position SummaryThe Driver Provider is seeking an experienced Controller to lead our accounting department and work with the CFO and executive leadership.This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can operate comfortably at both the strategic and tactical levels. The Controller will not only lead the accounting team but work hands on day-to-day in accounting operations, strengthen financial processes and controls, develop the accounting team and provide timely, accurate financial information to support business decisions.The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, sound judgment and a leadership style that combines accountability with a service-oriented approach. As our organization continues to grow, the Controller will also play an important role in identifying opportunities to modernize, automate and improve our financial processes.Key ResponsibilitiesLead day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and payrollMaintain accurate accrual-based financial records in accordance with GAAPWork with the CFO on month-end and year-end close processes and ensure timely, accurate financial reportingMonitor cash flow and provide meaningful financial analysis as requested to support executive decision-makingOversee banking relationships, company credit card administration and account reconciliationsSupport budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities and creation of SOPsEnsure appropriate accounting controls, processes and procedures are established and consistently followedManage business licenses and other financial and regulatory compliance requirementsPartner with People Operations to support accurate payroll processing and resolve accounting-related payroll mattersServe as a financial resource to department leaders throughout the organizationLead, coach and develop accounting team members while establishing clear expectations and accountabilityIdentify opportunities to streamline, automate and improve accounting and financial processesPartner closely with the CEO, fractional CFO and other members of senior leadership on financial strategy and organizational prioritiesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including demonstrated accounting leadership experienceStrong knowledge of GAAP and accrual-based accountingAdvanced understanding of general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations and financial reportingStrong QuickBooks experience; QuickBooks Desktop experience preferredNeeds to have working knowledge of AP, AR and PayrollProficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and GoogleDemonstrated ability to lead, coach and develop accounting professionalsStrong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skillsHigh degree of discretion and sound judgment when handling confidential financial and employee informationAbility to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentHands-on leadership style with the willingness to step into the details when neededCompensation and BenefitsSalary range: $115,000 – $130,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
