More About The Role We're seeking an experienced and strategic Controller to join our Client Experience Department. This is a specialized Controller role focused on the most critical phase of the client relationship - getting clients set up for long-term success through our onboarding phase called Tenacity. We are actively seeking those who have a background working within Professional Services or Nonprofit. As an Onboarding Controller, you'll be part of building and refining how All In One Accounting onboards clients. Our new Client Experience Department is reshaping how we setup clients for long-term success from Day 1. The team is focused on cleanup, bringing efficiencies, and adding long term value to our new clients. Key Responsibilities Own client relationships during the Tenacity phase of our Accounting Clarity™ proven processLead intensive client onboarding, setup, and financial foundation buildingTeach clients AIOA's systems, processes, and best practicesIdentify opportunities for client growth and flag issues for ongoing teamsContinuously improve the Tenacity process to reduce timeline and increase client satisfactionEnsure seamless handoffs to Operations delivery teams Client Onboarding & Tenacity Phase Execution Lead Tenacity phase kickoff meetings with new clients, setting expectations and building strong rapportConduct comprehensive financial assessment, identify cleanup needs, and assess opportunities for improvementEstablish chart of accounts structure and complete historical cleanup and reconciliation of all balance sheet accountsImplement accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes with appropriate internal controlsEstablish month-end close procedures, train clients on workflows, and create baseline financial statements with supporting workpapersEducate clients on accounting best practices and AIOA's Accounting Clarity® proven process throughout the engagementProactively identify expansion opportunities and flag potential issues for ongoing Operations teamDocument all client-specific processes and systems in SharePoint for seamless team handoffBuild foundation of trust and confidence that sets clients up for long-term partnership success Process Improvement, Handoff & Department Building Prepare comprehensive handoff documentation and conduct smooth transition meetings with ongoing Operations teamDocument lessons learned from each onboarding and contribute to building the Tenacity playbookIdentify opportunities for automation, templates, and timeline reduction as you execute engagementsCollaborate with VP, Client Success and team on continuous process improvement initiativesParticipate actively in Client Success team L10 meetings, sharing insights and learningsTrack metrics on onboarding quality, timeline, and client satisfaction to drive improvements Internal Responsibilities Complete all internal responsibilities including time tracking, capacity planning, and quarterly initiativesActively participate in All In One Accounting's Brand Ambassador program, representing our mission and valuesMaintain highest standards of service quality, client satisfaction, and security practices The Successful Candidate Will Have 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in public accounting or multi-client environmentsExperience in either Nonprofit Organizations or Professional Services firmsProven success with client onboarding, implementation projects, or cleanup engagementsStrong technical accounting skills and ability to quickly assess and remediate financial issuesExcellence in client communication - Ability to explain complex accounting concepts to non-financial audiencesTeaching and mentoring ability - You genuinely enjoy helping clients learn and build confidenceProcess improvement mindset - You naturally identify inefficiencies and propose solutionsProject management skills - Ability to manage multiple client onboardings simultaneously with different timelinesAdaptability and resilience - Comfortable with ambiguity as we build and refine this new functionTechnical proficiency with QuickBooks and ability to quickly learn various accounting software platformsBachelor's degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience Salary And Benefits Salary: $90,000 - $125,000Annual Bonus: Up to 10% of salaryComprehensive benefits package including:Medical, dental, and vision insurance401KLife insuranceLong and short-term disabilityHSA, FSA, and dependent care optionsProfessional development opportunities All In One Accounting provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
