Financial Governance & Scale
Own all day-to-day accounting operations including AP/AR/invoicing, payroll, tax compliance, and R&D tax credit filings. Own the month-end close process and manage our 3rd party accounting firm to ensure timely closes, accurate reporting, and high-quality deliverables.
AI & Automation
Uplevel our ERP system and implement scalable finance systems to automate invoicing, reconciliation, and procurement to handle our 200%+ year-over-year growth.
Internal Controls
Manage and own our internal controls and procurement processes.
Truth Seeking
Act as a "truth seeker" for the leadership team, providing granular financial breakdowns and actionable insights that go beyond standard reporting.
Experience
- 8+ years of accounting experience, ideally in managing and maturing financial processes from Series B/C to later stages.
- You know what "good" looks like at scale but aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves to get us there.
- You have a strong ability to navigate through challenges, multiple tasks, take ownership, and deliver high quality results.
Technical Proficiency
- You likely started your career in the Big 4 and are proficient in all major accounting processes, including any O2C (Order-to-Cash), P2P (Procure-to-pay), H2R (Hire-to-Retire), and R2R (Report-to-Report).
- A CPA and SOX experience is preferred.
The "Multiplier" Mindset
- You are a "player-coach" type leader who wants to get into the weeds, build the spreadsheets, and set the systems up correctly yourself, so it doesn't break when we scale 10x tomorrow.
- You have a strong ability to navigate through challenges, multiple tasks, take ownership, and deliver high quality results.
Modern Financial Systems
- You have experience implementing financial systems and are comfortable navigating modern data tools (SQL) to validate financial data at the source.
- You are excited about the frontier of new technology in finance and proactively look for ways to use AI to eliminate "grunt work" in the accounting cycle.
Executive Advisory & Partnership
- You have excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- You thrive in ambiguity and can balance strategic foresight with hands-on problem-solving.
Pay
The estimated starting annual salary range for this position is $215,000 - $255,000 USD.
Schedule
We are an in-person culture. We believe the best work happens when we are in the same room and our ideal weekly schedule is 4 days working from one of our offices (San Francisco, New York, or Denver) and 1 day working remotely.
