The OpportunityOur client, a well-established, global consumer products company, is seeking an experienced Controller to lead their accounting function. This is a high-visibility role for a hands-on accounting leader who thrives in a fast-paced, product-driven environment and is ready to bring rigor, structure, and international accounting expertise to a growing organization. This position is fully onsite and reports directly to the CFO. What You'll DoOwn the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAPManage consolidated financial reporting across international entities and multiple currenciesLead technical accounting research and ensure proper application of accounting standardsOversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll functionsPartner with FP&A, tax, and treasury to support broader finance initiativesManage external audit relationships and ensure clean, efficient annual auditsBuild, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting teamDrive process improvements and strengthen internal controls across the organizationSupport ad hoc projects including system implementations, M&A due diligence, and integration work as needed What You BringCPA requiredBig 4 public accounting experience strongly preferredInternational/multi-currency accounting experience — consolidations, foreign subsidiaries, or global operationsBackground in consumer goods, retail, or a similarly fast-paced, product-driven industry8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including people managementStrong technical accounting knowledge (GAAP) and demonstrated ability to research and apply complex standardsProven experience owning the full close cycle in a company of meaningful scaleStrong proficiency in ERP systems, Power BI, Excel, and AI toolsComfortable operating in a fast-moving, deadline-driven environment with shifting prioritiesExcellent communication skills and the ability to partner cross-functionally with senior leadership
