- Quickly assess the current state of the function, team, systems, open workstreams, and key risks, while identifying immediate opportunities to improve accuracy, accountability, and efficiency.
- Bring outstanding audits, covenant reporting, reconciliations, tax-related workstreams, and other critical external deliverables fully current.
- Establish a reliable and well-controlled close process, with clear timelines, ownership, documentation, and reporting standards.
- Lead relationships with external auditors, accountants, tax advisors, and other partners, serving as Starface’s primary accounting subject-matter expert and point of accountability.

- Manage and coach the accounting team, establishing clear expectations, strong operating rhythms, and opportunities for growth.
- Partner closely with the SVP of Finance on priorities, risks, decisions, and communication with executive leadership and the Board.
- Strengthen Starface’s readiness for future financing, investment, diligence, or M&A activity by ensuring our accounting records, controls, reporting, and documentation can withstand increased scrutiny.
- Identify issues early, communicate them clearly, and bring forward practical recommendations and paths to resolution.
