Controller Consultant Position: Controller Consultant Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid) Compensation: $120,000 – $140,000 annually Employment Type: Full-Time W-2 Employee with NOW CFO About NOW CFO NOW CFO is a national outsourced accounting and finance firm. We give businesses financial clarity and visibility through experienced consultants who partner with clients on the projects that matter most — cleanups, implementations, month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and everything in between. Our Consultants are full-time W-2 employees. You'll work with a variety of clients across industries, get exposure to different systems and business models, and never get stuck in the routine of a single seat. About the Role We're expanding our Phoenix team and looking for an experienced Controller Consultant who thrives on rolling up their sleeves, jumping into new environments, and delivering real financial impact. As a Controller Consultant with NOW CFO, you'll partner with our clients to strengthen their financial operations — from GAAP-compliant reporting to strategic financial guidance. You'll help business owners understand what their numbers are telling them and give them the confidence to make better decisions. What You'll Do Own the accounting and financial reporting function for client engagementsLead month-end and year-end close processesDevelop and implement financial strategies and internal controlsProvide financial analysis, forecasting, and risk management supportGuide clients on GAAP compliance and best practicesImprove financial performance and clean up legacy issuesServe as a trusted financial advisor to client leadership What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldPrior Controller-level experience (multi-industry exposure preferred)Strong GAAP knowledge and technical accounting depthInternal audit experienceCPA preferred, not requiredExcellent communication skills and a client-service mindsetComfortable working independently and managing multiple prioritiesWillingness to commute to different client sites in the Phoenix metro area What NOW CFO Offers Competitive base salary ($120K–$140K)Full benefits: medical, dental, and vision401(k) with company matchPaid time offCareer growth opportunities across our national footprintExposure to a wide variety of industries, systems, and business models #IND3
