Controller

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
• Prepare financial statements and management reporting
• Oversee general ledger, AP, AR, payroll, fixed assets, and inventory accounting
• Manage cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow
• Maintain internal controls and ensure GAAP compliance
• Parenth with executive leadership on financial planning and operational decision-making
• Cooordinat external audits, tax matters, and banking relationships
• Support accounting for multiple manufacturing facilities across Indiana and Kentucky
• Travel occasionally to manufacturing plants to collaborate with operations and plant leadership
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
• 7-10+ years of accounting experience, including manufacturing accounting
• Strong background in cost accounting and inventory
• Leadership experience in an accounting environment
• Advanced Excel skills and ERP experience
• Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
• Hands-on, trustworthy, and collaborative leadership style
