We need to output HTML fragment with sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. Only include sections that have real specific content. We must not repeat job title as heading. Must not include Job ID etc. Must preserve all substantive info. Remove boilerplate: EEO, equal-opportunity, scam-warning, application instructions, cookie/navigation/legal. Also remove duplicated lines. We need to parse the posting. Content: - Role NCS Plant Controller – Grimes (Des Moines, Iowa) - NCS Overview (description) - Position description (details) - Environment (plant details) - Key Responsibilities (list) - What You Need… (requirements) - Logistics Location – This position is based at NCS's Grimes, Iowa plant (Des Moines area) - Work arrangement – Onsite presence at the Grimes plant required... - Grow your career supported by an energized and passionate team, professional development, training, flexibility and opportunities for advancement. We offer competitive wages and benefits including comprehensive health, dental and vision coverage, matching 401(k), paid time off and more. - Then EEO boilerplate. We need sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We have: - About the role: could be NCS Overview + Position description + Environment? Possibly combine into About the role. - Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities list. - Requirements: What You Need… (Bachelor's degree, CPA/MBA preferred, 8+ years, ERP knowledge, budgeting, variance analysis, fast paced, leadership, creativity, flexibility, communication, preferred finance experience in industrial manufacturing). Also maybe Logistics Location and Work arrangement could be under Requirements? But they are more about location and work arrangement; could be separate sections like Schedule? Actually Schedule: work arrangement (Onsite presence required). Could be Schedule section. - Qualifications: maybe overlapping with Requirements; but we need to decide. The instruction: Use headings for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Skills). So we can have both Requirements and Qualifications. Usually Requirements = education/experience; Qualifications = preferred qualifications? But we can split. - Skills: maybe list skills like ERP, budgeting, variance analysis, leadership, communication, etc. - Benefits: we have "competitive wages and benefits including comprehensive health, dental and vision coverage, matching 401(k), paid time off and more." - Pay: not explicitly stated; only "competitive wages". That's vague but maybe we can include Pay section with "competitive wages" but instruction says never create Pay/Schedule/Benefits sections unless the posting actually states them. It does state "competitive wages and benefits". So we can include Pay with "competitive wages" (though vague). It's stated, so okay. - Schedule: we have "Work arrangement – Onsite presence at the Grimes plant required". That's schedule info. So we can include Schedule section. We must not include filler like "commensurate with experience". We have none. We must preserve all substantive information; do not invent or summarize away detail. So we need to include all details from the posting, but we can rephrase? Must preserve all substantive information; we can keep the same sentences but format into HTML. We must not repeat job title as heading. So no heading for "NCS Plant Controller – Grimes (Des Moines, Iowa)". We'll just start with About the role. We need to output only HTML fragment, no /, no markdown fences. Thus produce something like:

About the role

NCS is an industry leading manufacturing, chemical and technology company whose primary end-market is car wash operators. NCS was founded decades ago in Iowa (Des Moines) and has grown significantly over the years through a combination of product line expansion, geographic expansion and acquisitions. The company offers products under leading brands like: Ryko, MacNeal, Shadow, Belanger, Armor All, among others. Today, with ~1600 employees and 6 manufacturing plants, the Company serves hundreds of customers across N. America primarily through 5 Key Business Units: Equipment – manufactures and sells car wash equipment (Tunnels, IBAs, vacuums, water systems, dryers, signs, etc.); Chemical – Produces and distributes chemical soaps (sold weekly to customers); Parts Distribution – Through a series of warehouses and distribution centers, NCS distributes internal and third-party parts to customers; Services – Though a field service national field service organization, NCS provides maintenance and break-fix services to customers’ sites; Technology – Provides range of software to support customers – including point-of-sale, membership, chemical dispensing and analytics, control software, among others.

The position will oversee all general accounting, close and standard costing activities related to Grimes plant, which supports the Company’s largest Equipment division, its largest BU. The plant also interacts with other equipment plants, in which Grimes may source certain components or parts from other plants or bundle some parts from other plants into an overall “bundled sale” to a customer. NCS needs a seasoned leader who can partner with the plant operations, other finance and plant controllers, oversee a more complex environment, has aptitude for upgrading and improving our financial procedures and controls, and can lead a small team.

Environment: The Grimes plant manufactures car wash tunnels (primarily MacNeal branded), water systems, blowers/dryers, IBAs, etc. Typically, a full system or customer job might include dozens of items (parts), which have to be fabricated and assembled, working through the multiple steps. Some of the parts or components assembled may be third-party sourced, while others may be manufactured internally. The plant operates a standard costing system, but the system is immature in its development and still requires significant work to get to a “best-in-class” state. The plant operates on NetSuite (where it went live along with our corporate level) about 2 years ago. The company is still in middle of an IT transformation to move all plants to NetSuite – some of the other key plants (including Canada plant) are NOT on NetSuite which requires some additional intercompany reconciliations during close that this controller will need to manage.

Then Responsibilities:

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the key finance and accounting business partner to Grimes plant leadership and operations teams, providing financial insight to support production, quality, and operational decision-making.
  • Own the month-end close process for the Grimes plant, including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and reporting on a timely and accurate basis (including MBRs and Bridge Analysis monthly).
  • Lead deployment, maintenance, and ongoing oversight of the standard costing system across the plant and ERP platform, including partnering with corporate finance and other plant controllers to drive toward a best-in-class costing environment.
  • Analyze and report on standard cost variances (purchase price, usage, labor, and overhead), partnering with operations to identify root causes and drive corrective action.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and reconciliation of periodic and annual physical inventory counts, including cycle counts, ensuring accuracy of on-hand inventory and resolution of variances.
  • Support the annual financial statement audit and any internal audits, including preparing schedules, responding to auditor requests, and ensuring documentation of key controls.
  • Evaluate, design, and strengthen internal controls and financial procedures at the plant, identifying opportunities to improve accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Support the plant's ongoing NetSuite implementation and broader corporate IT/ERP transformation, including process design and testing related to plant accounting and costing.
  • Partner with plant management on capital expenditure tracking, project accounting, and equipment and facility investments.
  • Prepare and present monthly financial results, KPIs, and cost trends to plant and corporate leadership.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor a small plant accounting team, building organizational capability and bench strength.
Then Requirements:

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
  • CPA and/or MBA is preferred.
  • 8+ years in the accounting / finance field.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with ERP systems.
  • Experience with budgeting, variance analysis and management reporting.
  • Flexibility and ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.
  • Proven leadership and management skills.
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Preferred, finance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
Qualifications: maybe we can separate preferred qualifications? But we already included preferred in Requirements. Could make Qualifications for preferred qualifications: CPA/MBA, industrial manufacturing experience. But we already have them. To avoid duplication, maybe we put Qualifications for "Preferred qualifications" and keep Requirements for mandatory. Let's split: Requirements (mandatory): Bachelor's degree, 8+ years, ERP knowledge, budgeting/variance analysis, flexibility/fast paced, leadership, creativity, communication. Qualifications (preferred): CPA and/or MBA, finance experience within industrial manufacturing. But we also have "A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected" maybe mandatory? It's ambiguous. We'll treat as requirement. Let's decide: Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required. - 8+ years in accounting/finance. - Strong knowledge and experience with ERP systems. - Experience with budgeting, variance analysis and management reporting. - Flexibility and ability to thrive in a fast paced environment. - Proven leadership and management skills. - A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. - Excellent oral and written communication skills. Qualifications: - CPA and/or MBA preferred. - Preferred finance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment. Skills: maybe list specific skills: ERP systems (NetSuite), standard costing, variance analysis, internal controls, financial reporting, team leadership, communication, etc. But we might duplicate. Could create Skills section summarizing: ERP (NetSuite), standard costing, variance analysis, internal controls, financial close, inventory management, audit support, process improvement, team leadership, communication. But we must not invent details; we can extract from posting: ERP systems, standard costing system, variance analysis, internal controls, financial procedures, NetSuite implementation, capital expenditure tracking, project accounting, financial results presentation, team mentoring. We'll create Skills section with bullet list of those. Benefits: we have "competitive wages and benefits including comprehensive health, dental and vision coverage, matching 401(k), paid time off and more." Pay: "competitive wages" (we can state that). Schedule: "Onsite presence at the Grimes plant required." We must not include boilerplate like EEO etc. Now produce HTML. Check for duplicate lines: we must not repeat same content. Ensure we captured all substantive info. Let's list all substantive info from posting: - NCS Overview (company description) - Position details (oversee accounting, close, standard costing, plant largest Equipment division, interacts with other plants, need seasoned leader partner with operations, other finance/controllers, oversee complex environment, aptitude for upgrading/improving financial procedures/controls, lead small team) - Environment (plant manufactures car wash tunnels, water systems, blowers/dryers, IBAs; full system includes dozens of items; some third-party sourced; standard costing immature; NetSuite live ~2 years; IT transformation moving all plants to NetSuite; other key plants not on NetSuite requiring intercompany reconciliations) - Key Responsibilities (list as above) - What You Need… (requirements list) - Logistics Location – based at Grimes, Iowa plant (Des Moines area) - Work arrangement – Onsite presence at the Grimes plant required - Grow your career ... We offer competitive wages and benefits including comprehensive health, dental and vision coverage, matching 4
